The Museum’s Science Bulletins team recently traveled to Peru to film a short documentary on protecting potato diversity in the region. The crew documented the harvest and testing of both native and new varieties of potatoes, and visited the International Potato Center in Lima. 

In this photo, farmers in the Huancavelica region harvest potatoes before testing them for taste, texture, and disease resistance.
